Visual Minutes
Visual Minutes (also known as ‘Live Conference Illustration’, ‘Graphic Recording’, ‘Sketch Notes’, or ‘Scribing’) are a live, illustrated record of conferences, events or meetings. During your event we listen to and illustrate the key ideas and messages as they happen—creating beautiful, dynamic visual records that capture the heart of what's being said.
Why do visual Minutes work?
- We retain just 10% of what we hear, but up to 80% of what we see. Having visual minutes at your event is a powerful tool for making your event stick.
- Colour visuals increase willingness to read by 80% and can positively affect motivation and participation. We've all been to meetings and conferences that seem to lose all clarity as the day goes on. Having an illustrator capturing the event gives a clear reference of how the group are thinking and what has been discussed that day. It's all up there on the wall for people to see!
What do you get after the event?
- A high resolution digital copy of the visual minutes along with a licence to use the graphic in your reports, presentations, web pages and social media accounts.
- If we work on paper you will have a physical artwork! Many of our clients keep the visual minutes in their offices as a resource to remind them of their vision, or use them as a tool for pitching.
- An engaging way to share the key messages of your event. Visual minutes can be a fantastic way to illustrate your reports, presentations, and publications. They can be great tool for engaging people on social media too.

How does it work?
Visual Minutes are drawn live during an event. Our illustrators listen carefully to what is being discussed and capture the key themes and messages with illustrations and colour.
We work by hand with pens on a large sheet of paper, or digitally on iPads.
We can be there working in-person or attend virtually for online events.
